Call for papers

Number of proposals (October 20, 2009)

The organizing committee received more than 40 proposals. In the coming two months, these proposals will be reviewed by the members of the scientific committee.
We aim at informing the authors by December 15. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Types of contributions

Papers

Paper sessions contain a maximum of four oral presentations (15 minutes each), followed by a discussion with the audience. The organization welcomes submissions of groups of papers organized around a specific topic.

Posters

Poster sessions involve graphic displays of materials, thematically grouped. A poster session includes a 5-minute oral presentation by the author. After the brief presentations and a round of individual conversations, an in-depth discussion with presenters and the audience is guided by a chair.

Round Tables

Round table sessions focus on problematic issues and on collaborative, divergent thinking to explore problem-solving strategies. The session is invited by an individual researcher who puts forward a problem that is often a work in progress. In a 30 minute session the researcher explains the project (5 minutes) and and invites participants to contribute ideas.

Submission details

You will need to submit the following by email in a word document:

  • Information on the authors and presenting author (name, affiliation, contact information including email address)
  • An extended summary of 1,000 – 1,500 words, detailing the aims, methodology, findings, and theoretical and significance of the research. Do not include the abstract in your extended summary.
  • A short abstract of 100-300 words. Full contact information, including e-mail address and affiliation, for each of the authors involved (not included in word count).
  • Furthermore, we ask you to indicate:
    • the preferred format of your proposal;
    • whether you are willing or not to present in another format then the one you prefer;

The Scientific Committee is responsible to assign the individual proposals to a particular session format.
